Barry Brower is a freelance journalist, broadcaster and photographer, as well as being a librarian. He has written numerous articles for publications as diverse as Bluegrass Unlimited, the Raincoast Chronicles, and Seattle Weekly. A longtime performer of bluegrass music, he fronts the Seattle-area band The Fossils and Pearly Blue. He resides in Everett, Washington.
Paul Piper was born in Chicago, moved to Montana (ostensibly to go to college, but primarily to learn to fly fish), worked as a biologist, became a landscaper, and then a librarian. Throughout, he has also been a poet.
Jon Dillon works as a reference specialist in the library at Western Washington University. He does the web thang for Habits of Waste but is uncomfortable referring to himself as master of anything (except maybe of his own domain).
