Jeff Purdue, originally from Danville, Illinois, now calls Bellingham, Washington home. He’s still waiting for Velvet Crush to play a show there. In the meantime, he co-edits Habits of Waste.

Dave Zauhar was born in Galesburg, Illinois and now lives in Western Pennsylvania. The Minutemen and Arvo Pärt are always in heavy rotation on his turntable.

Paul Piper was born in Chicago, moved to Montana (ostensibly to go to college, but primarily to learn to fly fish), worked as a biologist, became a landscaper, and then a librarian. Throughout, he has also been a poet.

Allen Frost is the author of Ohio Trio, among other things. His film Caruso is available nowhere.

Jim Kirchner is an avid fan of avant-garde and experimental music. While he found Derek Bailey's music annoying the first time he heard it, he now finds life would not be as sweet without it. Jim is also an editor of Habits of Waste.

Jon Dillon is the resident WebDawg at Habits of Waste. He works as a reference specialist in the library at Western Washington University.
